Soprano Laura del Río obtained the ‘Extraordinary Finalist Award’ from the ‘Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu’ in Barcelona. Obtaining the scholarship as one of the prizes at the International Competition Tenor Viñas, to study Master’s Degree in Opera Performance.
Laura del Río has been awarded prizes in several contests:

Regarding her stage career, Laura del Río made her debut as Violetta from Verdi’s opera ‘La Traviata’ at the Palau de la Música, Lauretta in opera ‘Gianni Schicchi’ by Puccini in Berlin, Donna Elvira of ‘Don Giovanni’ and Musetta of ‘La Bohème’ in Teatro Campoamor, Susanna in ‘Le nozze di Figaro’, Norina in ‘Don Pasquale’, Marina in the opera ‘Marina’ by Arrieta, Rosa in ‘Maruxa’ by Vives, Marola in ‘La tabernera del puerto’, Duquesa Carolina in ‘Luisa Fernanda’ by Torroba, La Coribanti in ‘L’impresario in angustie’ by Cimarosa, among others. Recently, she has premiered Adina in ‘Mans a l’òpera’ (L’elisir d’amore adaptation) in Gran Teatre del Liceu and she will soon be singing Rowan in ‘The little sweep’ by Britten at the Opera de Tenerife.
Laura del Río performed lied and spanish songs concerts in different European countries such as Monaco, Italy, Germany and Spain. Standing out Tutto Opera in Palau de la Música Catalana, Groba Festival with the ‘Orquesta de Cámara Galega’ in Teatro Colón, the Opera and Zarzuela in Auditorio Alfredo Kraus in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the closing concert in the Young Festival MUSEG in Segovia organized by Don Juan de Borbón Foundation, concert in BCN Obertura Spring Festival, the lied concert in the Berlin Song Festival, Zarzuela mi amor Festival Internazionale di Noto and Opera Gala in Montecarlo. She received a grant from Life Victoria to work with Iain Burnside. Laura has also performed specialised spanish songs with the pianist Rubén Fernández Aguirre, Celsa Tamayo and with other composers such as Antón García Abril, Miquel Ortega and Manuel García Morante.
She has participated masterclass with international singers including Dolora Zajick, Sonia Ganassi, Carlos Álvarez, Joan Pons, Teresa Berganza, Sondra Radvanovsky, Jaume Aragall, Carlos Chausson, Isabel Rey, Xavier Sabata…
In performing arts she has trained with interpretation and corporal expression professionals including acting work with Emilio Sagi, Paco Azorín, Marta Eguilior, Ramon Simó, Marc Rosich, Jordi Godall, Carles Sala, Raimon Molins, Isabel Soriano, Anna Llopart, Toni Sans and Susana Egea.
